Major Crime in Progress...

So I came home from a walk with my daughter in her stroller. When we returned home, I heard a noise around the north side of the townhouse, so I had a peek. There was a man in handcuffs sitting on the hood of his car and two police officers questioning him. I went inside where I could get a better look from my window. Damn the leaves, I couldn't see anything from my living room window, but up in my office I could see that there were 3 police cars and I overheard the officer ask if he had any other weapons in the car. Oh, my - this sounds serious. I wanted to go to the second story deck to get a better look, but I knew I'd be seen for the nosy neighbor I am, so I went to the third story deck. From there I could see that there were 6 police cars along the street and in our parking lot, examining the criminal's car and questioning the suspects. I heard someone say something about 'piromaniac'. Clearly this was a major criminal. I decided this was serious and in the interest of protecting my family, I should definitely go down to the second story deck to see what was going on, regardless of who sees me. I went out on the deck and looked it over. There were police officers all milling around and examining evidence. Boy, Boulder sure has a lot of bald police officers. I could see the suspect's car much better from here and through the leaves I could see something on top of his car. What IS that? ... Really? ... a handful of firecrackers and some other fireworks.

Well, it's good to know that we're being protected, right? I just hope there weren't any real crimes in progress at the time.
